|
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Designs, develops and debugs processor diagnostics and system software for a Linux based operating system. SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. designs processor diagnostics running under a Linux operating system. 2. Develops and debugs processor diagnostics and other system software in order to achieve production worthy diagnostic software products. 3. Works with various product design and process teams to define and implement new diagnostics. 4. Works with various product engineering teams to provide support for processor diagnostics and other related issues.
Our area of responsibility is diagnostics which includes verification of architectures at various stages in the product cycle (silicon bring-up – manufacturing). Therefore, diagnostic/BIOS/Firmware/driver experience are also helpful backgrounds.
We need strong programming experience with low and higher level x86 programming skills. A very strong sense of PC arch. along with bus interface protocols like PCI, Memory, etc. Good x86 hardware/software debug skills. These are minimum requirements.
