JOB DESCRIPTION: A Phase III SBIR company that provides advanced technology to the test and measurement industry. Products include high-performance functional test systems for commercial and military applications, high-power environmental stress systems, and instrument driver software.
Job Details:
Presently assembling a small team to develop new prototype RF instruments and test software for the DoD’s next generation of test systems. The DoD requires that these new systems be agile, rapidly- developed and global in scope. To meet these requirements the development team must possess the same qualities.
The RF systems engineer will be a key player on this team, responsible for the design and development of miniaturized instruments at frequencies up to 26 GHz, using a combination of COTS & custom components.
If successful, this team will form the core of a much larger group that will develop production versions of these inventions.
Success Factors:
Work independently with customer in Georgia and Illinois to research and capture 100% of instrument requirements.
Communicate 100% of requirements to other software, mechanical, and electrical engineers in timely, well-written requirements documents.
Working independently, design practical, elegant miniaturized RF and microwave circuitry needed to satisfy requirements.
Specify all COTS components and prepare complete, accurate design documentation
Prove design will work with mathematical analysis and/or simulation.
Present design at DoD-style design reviews, impress customer.
Work with other engineers to build and test instrumentation
Install and deliver within 12 months. Delight customer.
Develop technical content for proposals and other marketing materials.
