Product Support Engineer
Please note this is a customer support role versus developmental. You must enjoy working directly with the customer (in this case, engineers and developers working with our product).
Responsibilities include the following:
- Provide technical support on our products
- Communicate effectively with customers to resolve their problems
- Communicate effectively with account teams on customer issues
- Document customer issues and resolutions accurately and thoroughly
- Develop technical content for online support site
- Participate in support process improvement activities
Requirements:
- 1-2 years experience in embedded software development.
- Strong C knowledge required
- Comfortable with Linux, UNIX and Windows development environments
- Experience with embedded Linux highly desired
- Strong familiarity with working with the Open Source Community
- Software development experience on one or more common embedded processor types (PowerPC, MIPS, X86, ARM, etc)
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, independent, and comfortable working directly with customers
- Technical or field support experience preferred
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related major
